For mentors from Romania, Hungary and Scandinavia, and youth filmmakers in dramatic, experimental and documentary forms. Intro Brainstorming
OTHER WORKSHOPS BASIC 1 - Movies Without Camera To recognize, experience and separate the prime elements of cinema into layers to overlap: image, text, soundscape, dialogue, rhythm, foreground, background, focal length, frames. The workshop creates film scenes without camera, then chooses one to shoot for real.
2- Making a Scene (Writing withuot Writing) This writing method is transparent and non-conflictual with conventional script-writing Big Names, such as Campbell, Mc Kee or Syd Field. Show your writer-Self new layers of possibiliy, free associaton, and problem re-solving. Write non-imitative scenes based on physicality, not verbosity. Then fine-tune them for rhythm, impact, comedy. Discover the power of your unique creative process. Become a more marketable, happier screenwriter.
3 - Cut Away (Editing) Cutting found footage or your short film and make a finished film. How to re-write during the edit? Hear from a Cinemahead who has apprenticed with Walter Murch, editor of "Apocalypse Now" and "The Conversation". (FInal Cut Pro or better preferred.)
ONLINE Mentor
Apprentices (a bottega) Cinemahead is looking for talented and motivated film apprentices. Did you know that Fellini and Truffeau both apprenticed with Roberto Rossellini?
